What is Sandblasting?
Sandblasting, sometimes known as abrasive blasting, is the operation of forcibly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure. We offer several sandblasting services below.
Sandblasting Services
Our speciality. Sandblasting concrete removes the surface cement to expose different levels of aggregate. We work closely with architects to create the perfect finish (heavy, medium, or light) with samples provided as needed. We sandblast all concrete including sidewalks, pool decks, fire lanes, driveways, tilt walls, etc. We also sandblast concrete for surface preparation to promote coating adhesion. Concrete sandblasting is what we specialize in, and we are confident you will not find the knowledge and experience we can offer anywhere else.
We engrave pool depth markers as a classy alternative to traditional tile depth markers. We can engrave coping, tile or concrete deck. We can perform this at the pool on installed coping/tile, or we can perform at our yard location and ship nationwide back to you for free. We use a stone specific paint that holds up well to harsh pool chemicals. These are code-compliant and becoming increasingly specified by architects in plans. We have a proprietary method that makes our company the best choice for this service.
We offer sandblasting and coating services to refresh your fleet of equipment, including tanks, sea containers, silos, vessels, trucks, trailers, etc. We offer a full line of protective coatings for structural steel and tank liners as well. MTS also has a West Texas division that specializes in tank interior liners, exterior coatings, and fleet color changes.
We clean surfaces with sandblasting primarily to remove paint, stains/sealers, mold/mildew, rust, and graffiti. We clean brick, CMU, exterior building walls, metal, concrete, and more.
This is a dustless alternative to abrasive blasting we offer. We use ultra-high pressure water blasting equipment to remove coatings and prepare the surface. This is a good option when necessary to avoid the mess and hazards sandblasting may create.
Shot blasting is used for surface preparation to clean or strip a flat surface. High-speed steel abrasive is thrown against a surface to abrade or clean in preparation for a coating.
Glass bead blasting is commonly used for food-grade stainless steel applications. It polishes the stainless steel for a uniform finish and removes surface impurities.
Dustless blasting uses water to decrease dust as a byproduct from sandblasting. Dustless blasting offers the same applications sandblasting does such as removing paint, stains, rust, and more, when needed for sensitive area job sites.
We typically perform soda blasting on exterior body panels to remove paint. Soda blasting allows us to remove the paint without warping any body skins. Sandblasting is used on heavier components of vehicles.
We sandblast driveways to remove stain/sealers and concrete paint, and prep existing concrete for new overlays. We also sandblast concrete to expose aggregate based for an architectural finish.
We engrave rocks with whatever you want to display. It can be a logo, brand, artwork, etc. We have beautiful rocks on our yard of various sizes or you can bring your own rock to us. You can send us an existing file or we will work with you to create whatever you have in mind. These rocks are very popular for front yards, ranch entrances, and more.
